During the 20’s a cinematic revolution occurred after the publication of ”Theory of Montage” by Sergei Einseistein. For the first time the montage was raised as a crucial part of the art of cinema, the film was no longer just the narrative, but a complex machine of meaning. The piece is a metaphorical recreation of those events, transcribed into movement experience.
Maria de Dueñas has performed this piece as part of the events and projects "Knock down the entrance door of the cinema" and

Gene Youngblood in his book Expanded Cinema (1970) predicts a future where film evolves towards a new era where reality is not as real as the simulation. Today we are experiencing the expansion of 3D cinema and the advancement of the presence of virtual reality technologies in the market.
This forces the art of cinema to expand and become more complex. The same for theatre, if there is something that becomes more real than real, what will theatre have to offer?

In Documentary Theatre Performance artists Matias Daporta and Esther Arribas are making a movie. Besides directing the film Esther and Matias thus also appear as artists (themselves) in the movie, that tells the story of Georgia – a murderer that kills artists. Knock down the entrance door of the cinema is a thriller that you don’t watch but become part of.
Flat, Not apartment (Movie Theater)
It all starts by covering the very front of the stage with a movie screen to project the space behind life-sized. The project tries to find the middle ground between cinema and theatre and challenge the public and its viewing experience by transforming the theatre into a screening room.
