BETWIXT
Ma'ayan Horesh and María de Dueñas collaborate together in the project Betwixt. This work is an initiative of María who invites Ma'ayan to merge in the topic of transitional space. Transitional space as a metaphorical place for relational betweenness.
As the happening in between defined meaning, states and entities, between one and another . The revelation the opening potentiality of this space in the moment of intersection of two as an emptiness that fills our imagination. It hints the infinitive capacity of forming that exits in every thing coming up to the possibility for utopia.
The work is an experiment of how to attune with the other, the different other, the opposite other, the complementary other, the similar other; How to establish and maintain communication. What is this mobile and malleable space that is a boundary between us but also brings us closer.
An avowal to take the time to look in the other and recognize ourselves.

BETWIXT it was developed in a first state in 2014 together with Maja Kalafatic and Ivan Mijacevic. It was perform in Festival Kubik Fabrik and selected for Gibanica Bienal 2015 in Slovenia.
BETwixt is an out-side doors version of BETWIXT developed in parallel to the research of the theater piece. Some of the main physical procedures of the piece are revisited here creating special dialogues with the environment and developing a poetic that it goes beyond the imaginary of the theater piece.
